Started from the bottom, but we’re here … and we’ve made it to Episode #50!!! Broadway and I were talking about how we see most new podcasts only make it about ten episodes before they quit, but we are here and not looking back. We started way back in September of 2017 with no idea of how we wanted to set up our podcast, just an idea to argue and discuss beer, bourbon and country music. Now, fast forward 20 months and we feel like we have hit the ground and we don’t want to stop running. And this week, we have a great episode for you all, with four awesome interviews.
Episode 50 consists of the following:
1) Broadway and Millertime spend time talking to Texas independent recording artist, Aaron Watson, who is set to release his new album, “Red Bandana” on June 21st. He shows genuine excitement for everyone to hear his new album, which he describes as cinematic and his best yet. Listen to our interview for a lot of cool details about how he recorded the album, certain sounds you will hear on it, and a special song inspired by the late, great, Guy Clark.
2) Broadway talks to Dustin Lynch about the ACMS, the red carpet, nominee snubs, touring this summer with Thomas Rhett, upcoming new music and if he is on Tinder.
3) Broadway and Millertime speak to Chris Morley, owner of Mason’s Brewing Company, in Brewer, Maine. He talks about the exciting beers, including Liquid Rapture and Hipster Viking, as well as what to expect from the Brewery if you visit them in Maine. Plus, we find out that the artist who designs their amazing beer cans does the illustrations for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Check out what Chris has to say and make sure you check out their amazing beer.
4) Millertime got to visit Asylum Distillery and had a tour and tasting hosted by its owner, Robert Schulten. Located in the heart of Bridgeport, Connecticut, this fairly young, but growing Distillery has some great tasting whiskeys, gin, and vodkas. Robert sat down with Millertime after the tour to talk about the beginnings of Asylum and what to expect from them in the future.
